About Us
Locally built.
Community supported.
Tortugas Travel Baseball is a Huntington Beach-based youth baseball development program operated by Tortuga Youth Sports Inc., a California nonprofit public benefit corporation.
Our program was created around a simple idea: high-quality youth baseball development shouldn't have to come with a high price tag.
Travel baseball can become expensive quickly. Tournament fees, uniforms, equipment, field rentals, insurance, training and other costs can put competitive baseball out of reach for many families. We want to do things differently.
Tortugas is locally built, community supported and run entirely by volunteer coaches. By keeping overhead low and putting resources directly back into the program, our goal is to provide players with a competitive baseball experience at little to no cost whenever possible.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a low- to zero-cost youth baseball development program for players from the Huntington Beach community, operated entirely by volunteer coaches and focused on player development, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership and a lifelong love of the game.
More Than Baseball
Developing players and people.
Through practices, games, tournaments and time together as a team, we emphasize fundamentals and long-term development, teamwork and accountability, sportsmanship, confidence, leadership, competing the right way, building friendships and representing Huntington Beach. Our coaches volunteer because they believe youth sports can have a lasting impact when the focus stays where it belongs — on the players.
